His past experience is Intern Therapist for Oakland Unified School District (2007-2008) and Intern Therapist at Seneca Center- Day Treatment facility (2005-2009).
Professionally, Brian works for County probation, is a Court Appointed Special Advocate, Executive Board Member for the Black Young Democrats of the East Bay and is a Commissioner for the Police Advisory Board for the City of Oakland.
He also serves as a interviewer for the city of Oakland Hiring Board for Oakland Police officer.
There, he was the Editor of Features and opinions for the X-Factor; a progressive, alternative school newspaper. Mason Bible College (2007) and his coursework included Counseling, Marriage & the Family and Healthy Relationships.
He is completing his Masters in Social Work, from the California State University East Bay, with an emphasis in children, youth and families. Brian is also currently pursuing his Masters in Theology and Ministry at Fuller Theological Seminary.
Before joining FWD.us, Christman served as a Regional Field Director for the Cory Booker Campaign, and as a Director with 270 strategies on education reform in Newark, NJ.
